Initial registration fee
VETAB charges a fee for initial registration as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO); the fee varies depending on the number of units of competency or qualifications/courses in your scope of registration. Please note that there is no specific fee for renewal of registration (which happens every five years) as this is included in the annual fee.
Fees are subject to annual review in line with the Consumer Price Index and are adjusted on or after 1 January each year. For a full list of current fees see the 2009 VETAB Fees Schedule.

Annual fees
Registered Training Organisations are required to pay an annual registration fee based on the number of qualifications/courses on an RTO's scope of registration. RTOs delivering at interstate locations and those with approval to deliver courses to overseas students (CRICOS approval) are subject to additional charges. RTOs are sent an invoice in December with fees payable annually on 1 January.

Payment Method
Annual fees can be paid by cheque, or online by credit card or direct debit using VETAB's VETAB Online services facility.

If you want to pay your fees online, you will need a user ID and password. To obtain these, send VETAB an email, a fax or a letter asking for a user ID and password, with a contact person and e-mail address. The request must be sent by a nominee (ie the Chief Executive Officer or Compliance Officer) of your RTO and must include your NTIS identification number. We will contact you if we are unable to verify that the request has been sent by a nominee of your RTO.
