Multiple legal entities sharing a trading (business) name
RTOs must be clearly identifiable by students and potential students. Arrangements in which multiple legal entities share one business (trading) name can be confusing and misleading. For this reason, your RTO must have its legal name, ACN and/or ABN on:
- enrolment forms
- marketing and advertising material
- AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment.
VETAB’s Guidelines on AQF Certification to be issued by RTOs, issued under the NSW Vocational Education and Training Act 2005, require RTOs to include the legal name, national code, logo, ABN and/or ACN of the RTO on all AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment they issue. The Guidelines can be viewed on our AQF Certification page.
